In fact, according to the Lupus Foundation of America, there is an estimated 1.5 million Americans, and more than 5 million people worldwide who have some form of lupus.

  1. I think it important that everyone knows of lupus. Is it too much to ask that they know that there are several kinds-yep. I’ll stick with hoping-right now-that they recognize the word. THEN…The more people know, the more people will understand that when you have one of those ‘bad’ days, they’ll understand that you not just making it up.Lupus is one of those “BUT, YOU DON’T LOOK SICK!” diseases.

  2. So true! I’ve yet to tell someone that I have Lupus and they actually know about it. I always get the, ” Awww I’m so sorry to hear that. But what is it? ”
    Awareness is definitely needed!!
