“More men develop Drug Induced Lupus than women mainly because medications that produce drug induced lupus are more frequently used in men. These drugs include hydralazine and procainaimide, and may reflect more heart disease in men than women.”
It’s easy to believe that women are the only ones diagnosed with lupus. I mean, they are the only ones displayed in infomercials, photos and the websites. But in doing research about the disease and attending events and support groups, I learned that women aren’t the only ones battling this disease. Men battle this disease too. Get to KNOW LUPUS! Men have lupus too!
